As the groomers at á la Mutt want your pet to win Best in Show please note prices will vary based on the overall size of your pet, the condition and length of the coat and the specific treatments that are recommended by your groomer. Professional consultation will be given to you upon arrival for your appointment.

You can help put your pet at ease while at the groomer. If your pet is especially nervous or scared when it is time to see the groomer (or vet for that matter) take him or her out for a nice walk or increase playtime prior to the appointment. Many pets respond better to services when they are pooped from a nice time with you.

We aim to have all pets out a.s.a.p with a maximum time limit of 3 hours for bath and hair cut and 1.5 hours for path only pets. Dogs with us more than 3 hours will receive a brief walk and given plenty of purified water. We never forget the cat and will keep them at ease as much as possible but please remember there is no place like home!  Please let us know should you need any special arrangements. 

Due to limited space, pets left for more than 5 hours or that are picked up after business hours will incur a $35 day care charge. Please let us know in advance should you need any special arrangements.

Please remember that not all pets should receive traditional grooming services. Health, age and overall disposition can determine whether or not your pet will benefit from our professional services. For example, we do not recommend you come see us after a trip to the vet. You will be informed of any concerns upon arrival.

At a’ la Mutt we are proud to offer *viewing windows for our clients however please remember that tapping on the window or making loud noises can startle pets and their groomer. This can be dangerous or prevent the groomer from finishing the grooming session.

*Yes it is true! We gladly accept pets that have been turned away from other shops due to biting, barking, scratching or just plain ol’ “aggressive behavior”. If our viewing windows are closed the groomer may be working with a pet that requires our full attention. We appreciate your understanding.

Keep their skin healthy and their coat clean and shiny. Remove loose hair and keep your pet (and your house) smelling fresh. Hand Brush
Recommended every two weeks for most coats, a full brush service will distribute oils from the skin throughout the coat and remove tangles and loose hair. Cats receive a nail trim and ear maintenance with this service. Dogs receive all sanitary services with this service.

FURminator® Treatment
Love Your Pet, Hate the Shedding?® This treatment is designed for long and short haired dogs and cats. Within one or two treatments the Furminator has been proven to reduce shedding up to 60 to 80 percent.

Nail Trim
This pet-a-cure for dogs and cats is a must! Overgrown nails can cause a dog's foot to splay which can lead to gait and posture problems. The nails can grow into a dog's tender pad and become infected or split, break or be torn off all together. Monthly trim recommended for all dogs. To reduce kitty nail curling into the pads as well as claw marks on furniture and carpeting, we recommend a monthly trim.

Tooth Brushing
Available only for our canine friends, a gentle brushing of teeth and gums can be added to your grooming session. Daily brushing is recommended for all pets and remember we offer all natural teeth cleaning (can you make this a link?) Consult your groomer on whether or not your pet requires this service or visit our expert dental technicians the 2nd Friday (excluding holidays) of every month.

Natural Cleaning Dental Services
Your pet’s dental hygiene is a large factor in their overall health. This service is not to be confused with regular teeth brushing. Our dental technicians are here monthly to keep your pet’s teeth healthy by removing tartar and assisting in the prevention of gingivitis. This service is offered the 2nd Friday of every month (excluding holidays) and is by appointment only.  Our Grooming services are available immediately following all dental clients (approx 12pm).

Flea & tick treatments are recommended during warmer months and are available only with purchase of our      Wash n’ Dry service for an additional charge. Fees are based on fleas!  Remember for every flea found on them there could be over 100 in your home! Add: We will rid your pet of live fleas (even remove tics) then place them in an all natural citrus bath. Remember to treat your home while your pet is with us however ask your groomer about preventative treatments like *Frontline TM or *Natural Defense TM. *Products sold separately.

Cancellations
Like any service industry we appreciate ample time to fill your appointment should you be unable to make it. Please remember your groomer can only see a certain amount of pets per day. Late arrivals or canceling without notice affects all of our clients as well as your groomer’s schedule. More than 2 cancellations without 24 hour notice may result in future increased grooming fees.
